David Philipps - BPhysio(Hons)BSc
Introducing myself as David Philipps, physiotherapist, a co-director of The Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic Point Cook.
I graduated at the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Science in 1991 with major studies in Physiology and Anatomy and graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree with honours. Since graduating, I have had 14 years of musculoskeletal and sports injury experience in practice, with work experience in Germany and England.
Currently, l am studying for a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy at LaTrobe University to further my interest in sports physiotherapy.
I am qualified to treat all musculoskeletal and sports injuries with post graduate study in all major areas including the back and neck through to shoulders, elbows, hands, knees and ankle injuries. I have a special interest in foot and ankle injuries along with the biomechanics of running and have lectured in England on the ankle structure and function. I am also qualified to perform dry needling techniques to various joint and muscle injuries.
